It seems that sometime within the last week Dana learnt to focus her eyes properly, thus recognizing faces and objects. I have to say that only few things are as beautiful as your daughter's smile when she recognizes you after waking up <3

Early in the morning or at midnight she'll be asleep in her bed with the room completely dark. I'll flip on the light, inducing in her panicky twists and turns that Menno and I usually accompany with startled cries of "Beaver and ducks! Beavers and ducks!" Then, when I hang over her bed to pick her up she'll peel open an eye, then another one and all of a sudden there's recognition and the most beautiful smile ^_^
