Things are pretty good! (Kilala.nl (Cailin Coilleach)) by Cailin Coilleach

Marli and Dana
So far Marlijne has been showing a miraculous recovery since her operation! We got home almost two weeks ago and she's already up to little trips outside. She can even drive the car for over an hour! On Monday she came with me to the Snow office (to help me get back home after returning our lease car) and today she got a few groceries by herself. I'm truly impressed by her fortitude.

Actually, I wanted her to make the short shopping trip today because I thought she could use some off-time. She's been at home and with Dana 24x7 since the 17th and she hasn't been alone at any one moment.

Dana is doing fine as well. She'll let us get a few hours of sleep every night, so we're doing alright. Dana's very healthy so far and only cries and bickers for a few hours a day.

So far things are going pretty well! :)

So proud of my wiffums! (Kilala.nl (Cailin Coilleach)) by Cailin Coilleach

There are so many reasons for me to be proud of Marli, but these are the chief ones among them.

She -really- loves her new job at the national railways. She shines whenever she talks about the job and it's really up her alley. She enjoys working with people, helping people out and she's also rather proud to be a part of NS.

Between her job and additional exercise that she's getting, she's already lost a whopping 26 pounds! Now, she's still a way off from her ideal weight, but she's already managed to knock down at least a third of the way! Fscking awesome!

Way to go baby! I'm very proud of you! :)

I'm so proud of Marli! (Kilala.nl (Cailin Coilleach)) by Cailin Coilleach

I'm very proud of my wiffums!

After her doctor's appointment she'd decided to start riding her bike to work. Granted, for an average person it's a modest bike ride: about fifteen to twenty minutes door-to-door. However, Marli isn't an average person, so for her it's quite a big deal!

Any exercise she can get is a very good thing and she's thinking of other ways of getting it as well. So far she's rode her bike two days in a row and she really wants to do it again tomorrow! I'm very proud! ^_^
