First chill of the year (Kilala.nl (Cailin Coilleach)) by Cailin Coilleach

This week saw the first real chill of this year. While the weather may be quite nice out, with lots of sun, the wind is cold and wet. I've already managed to catch a cold from the sudden switch in the weather. It's also probable that our nightly schedule with Dana helped out a bit ^_^

I find it remarkable that this first chill came at almost exactly the same time as two years ago.

At home, being ill (Kilala.nl (Cailin Coilleach)) by Cailin Coilleach

Also, I'm at home today due to a cold that's taken over my body. I honestly don't feel that bad, but it's drained away my strength completely. For the past few days I haven't had on iota of energy, thus ensuring that no homework gets done :( Basically it's wake, work, cook, eat, sleep.

Marli ordered me to stay home today and I tend to agree with her :) Time to rest up a little and to get over this cold. *cough**cough**wheeze*

Making dinners to take along (Kilala.nl (Cailin Coilleach)) by Cailin Coilleach

On my first day at college (the one four weeks ago, not the one eleven years ago) I'd given the school cafeteria a try. They serve a hot meal, sandwiches, deep fried snack and all sorts of drinks. A regular cafeteria you could say.

Since that day I've vowed not to eat there again. The hot meals don't sell fast enough and are thus left on the hot plate way too long. Thus potatoes start to get tough, meat turns dry and peas turn into pebbles.

I started bringing dinner myself, which started out with letuce and tuna. Basic, yet tasty, yet mildly boring. After that came lentils and mixed veg. Much better! And this morning I cooked macaroni so I could make a pasta/tuna salad, with some onion, garlic, and mayo.

Now I'm looking for more recipes that I will be able to bring along to school!

If any of you have any ideas for food that will last about seven hours in the back of my car, that'd be great! Remember, it's starting to get cold outside again, so I'm not too bothered about heat and such. (though I -could- bring along a small cooler to keep my meal cold)
