It's no secret that I like comics. Funny comics, exciting comics, serious comics, to me they really aren't any less than a good novel. So far I've always made one exception though: I've never liked photo comics very much. Today however I ran into one that I rather enjoy: 3 Hoog (Third floor).

Photo comics usually stand out in the overacted facial expressions and gestures, something that can get annoying really fast. The fact that 3 Hoog actually has some funny dialogue and writing makes up for it :) The comics follow the day-to-day activities of three students who share an apartment in Utrecht (our home town!).

Two of my favourites would be Kamer te huur (Room for rent) and Goede voornemens (New year's resolutions). Yes, the humor is -totally- studentesque and low brow, but that shouldn't be too surprising since the strip gets published in the weekly mag of the University of Utrecht. :)
